This document describes the construction of the SliTaz base system and why we use a Linux Kernel, BusyBox and Syslinux to boot the system. SliTaz uses an initramfs archive unpacked in RAM by the kernel at boot. We will create a box to hold a root of 3 to 4MB and use strip on the libraries and binaries to save space.</description>
